When you create an APA or MLA paper using the PERRLA for Word Add-in, page numbers appear in the upper right corner of each page as required by APA and MLA formatting. For Turabian papers, page numbers appear in the upper right corner of each page after the title page. In rare instances, you may see something like {Page} in place of the page numbers.
This is a Word setting that is quick and easy to fix. What you're seeing are Word's field codes – the underlying code that places page numbers in your paper. By default, Word displays the actual page numbers. If you're seeing field codes instead, the setting that controls this was accidentally changed.
Note: This issue will also cause {Hyperlink} to appear in your references instead of the clickable URL.
