With the PERRLA Add-in, you can share your papers with as many people as you like, and each person can work on the paper just like normal.
Each person can create new references, add citations, create headings, add tables and figures, and insert new paper sections – with one exception.
One limitation: editing references from others
Everyone working on a shared paper can create citations for any reference already in the paper. However, each user can only edit the references they added themselves. Since references belong to the person who created them, you can't edit a reference that isn't in your own PERRLA Reference Library.
Sharing a paper with non-PERRLA users
Every PERRLA paper is a standard Word document you can share anytime. However, PERRLA papers contain Content Control boxes around certain elements like references and citations, which may be unfamiliar to people who don't use PERRLA.
You can share a Clean Copy of your paper – a version without Content Controls – if that helps. Keep in mind that you won't be able to use PERRLA with the Clean Copy afterward.
If your classmate needs to collaborate on a PERRLA paper, share your Referral Rewards code with them – you'll both get 3 months free when they subscribe.
