When you create a new APA, MLA, or Turabian paper in PERRLA Online, the font is set to Times New Roman 12 point by default. This is a widely accepted – and the most used – font style for APA, MLA, and Turabian papers.
However, you may run across a professor who requires you to use a different font in your paper. The Editor in PERRLA Online makes it easy to change the font throughout your paper.
- In the ribbon above the paper, click Times New Roman.
It can be found on the right of the ribbon. - In the dropdown menu, choose the font you'd like to use.
The choices are Arial, Courier, Times New Roman, Trebuchet, and Verdana.
The font throughout your paper changes to whichever one you choose. Any new text you add afterward – including references, citations, and changes to the title page – will also be in the new font.
