Every PERRLA plan includes everything PERRLA does: PERRLA for Word, PERRLA Online, PERRLA for Google Docs, and the PERRLA Chrome Extension. The plans differ in how much room you have for the files attached to your references, and in whether Priority Support is included.
The Plans
- PERRLA – 2 GB of storage. Files up to 10 MB each.
- PERRLA Pro – 10 GB of storage. Files up to 50 MB each. Includes Priority Support.
- PERRLA Unlimited – No storage limit. Files up to 100 MB each. Includes Priority Support.
See Price of a PERRLA Subscription for prices.
What Counts Toward Your Storage
Files you attach to your references and files you upload to Collections. Your papers, references, and research notes don't count.
Checking How Much You've Used
-
Open Settings in PERRLA Online.
See How to Access PERRLA Settings if you need help finding it. - Scroll down to Library & data.
The File storage bar shows how much of your plan you've used. Click Manage files to see every file you've stored, and to remove any you no longer need.
When You're Running Out of Room
PERRLA Online lets you know when you've used 80% of your storage, again at 95%, and when it's full.
When your storage is full, new files can't be added until there is room. Nothing is deleted, and your papers and references keep working. You can make room by removing files you no longer need, or you can upgrade to a plan with more storage.
When a File Is Too Large
If a file is larger than your plan allows, PERRLA won't save it and will tell you why. You can use a smaller copy of the file – most PDF tools can compress a scanned document without hurting readability – or upgrade to a plan that allows larger files.
See Troubleshooting File Uploads and Storage Limits for help with a specific error.
Upgrading
You can upgrade at any time, and you only pay the difference for the time left on your current subscription. See Upgrading to PERRLA Pro or Unlimited.
Free Trials
Free trials include 2 GB of storage. When you subscribe, you choose your plan.
Lifetime Accounts
If you bought PERRLA before it became a subscription, your lifetime access hasn't changed and includes 2 GB of storage. Upgrading to PERRLA Pro or PERRLA Unlimited moves your account to a subscription and ends your lifetime access, so PERRLA asks you to confirm before you continue.
See Lifetime PERRLA Subscription for more on how lifetime access works.
6-Month Subscriptions
PERRLA Pro and PERRLA Unlimited aren't available on the 6-month subscription. To add one, choose a 1-month, 1-year, or 2-year subscription when you renew.
If Your Subscription Ends
Your files aren't deleted right away. PERRLA keeps them for at least 90 days, and renewing your subscription restores full access.
See What Happens to Your Account After Your Subscription Ends for what you can access in the meantime.
