PERRLA's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy were updated on September 21, 2026. Both documents cover the same ground as before — how your subscription works, what PERRLA does with your information — with a few changes worth knowing about.
Your Work Stays Yours
PERRLA claims no ownership of your papers, references, notes, or the files you upload. Nothing is sold, and nothing you write or upload is ever used to train AI.
One exception worth knowing: perrla.com and PERRLA's checkout use advertising tools from companies such as Meta and Google. These tools don't run inside PERRLA Online, PERRLA for Word, PERRLA for Google Docs, or the PERRLA Chrome Extension, and they never see your papers, references, or files.
Refunds and Price Changes
You can get a full refund within 30 days of any purchase or renewal, no reason required. If PERRLA raises prices, you'll get 30 days' notice by email before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
If Your Subscription Ends
Your files are kept for at least 90 days after your subscription ends. See What Happens to Your Account After Your Subscription Ends for what you can access during that time.
If Your Access Comes From a School
If your access comes through a site license from your school and that license ends, you'll keep access to PERRLA for 30 days. After that, your account is treated as expired, and you can buy an individual subscription at any point to continue without a gap.
Accepting the New Terms
You'll be asked to accept the new Terms and Privacy Policy the next time you use PERRLA Online, PERRLA for Word, or PERRLA for Google Docs. See The Terms and Privacy Policy Notice Explained if you run into any trouble with it.
