As of September 21, 2026, you need to accept PERRLA's new Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before continuing to use PERRLA Online, PERRLA for Word, or PERRLA for Google Docs. This is a one-time step — once you accept, you won't see the notice again. Here's what to expect and answers to the most common questions about it.
I'm Locked Out of PERRLA
You're not locked out. The notice includes one button — clicking it returns you to your work, and your papers are untouched.
Is This a Scam?
A reasonable question — a screen blocking your work over legal terms looks a lot like a phishing attempt. This notice is real. You can verify it yourself by going directly to Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in your browser, rather than relying on anything inside the notice itself.
I Don't Agree to the New Terms
You can cancel your subscription instead of accepting. The path to cancel stays reachable even from behind the notice, so accepting the new terms is never required just to cancel. See How to Cancel Your PERRLA Subscription. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access through the time you've already paid for.
I Clicked Accept, but It Came Back
Accepting the notice in one PERRLA product should clear it in your other PERRLA products the next time they sync. If it keeps reappearing after that, contact Customer Support so PERRLA can look into it.
Some of My Devices Show the Notice and Others Don't
This is possible and not necessarily a problem. If a PERRLA product can't record your acceptance, it won't show the notice at all rather than locking you out of an app that can't save your answer. The PERRLA Chrome Extension never shows this notice.
