The papers you create with the PERRLA Add-in are normal Microsoft Word documents. Word saves them, not PERRLA, so they live wherever you told Word to put them – usually on your computer or in your Microsoft OneDrive.
If You Can't Find Your Paper
- Open Word and check File > Open Recent.
- If it isn't there, check your Microsoft OneDrive (sometimes labeled as Online locations).
-
If you used Save As, search your computer by the file name.
The paper could be anywhere on your computer.
PERRLA Keeps a Backup Copy for You
Even though PERRLA doesn't save your Word file, PERRLA does keep a backup copy of it in your PERRLA account using a feature called Save to PERRLA. See Save to PERRLA – Backups for Your Word Papers (Add-in) for how it works and how to view your saved backups.
If your file is truly gone (deleted, corrupted, or sitting on a laptop that died), you can still get a copy back from PERRLA Online.
